UKRANIAN SCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT THE HUMAN-CENTERED TECHNOLOGY LABORATORY

Today, HINTS staff hosted a visit from the project Integration through STEM: Sweden-Ukraine Cooperation in Science and Culture. A small group from Ukraine (two teachers and four students aged 12-13) got a tour at BTH, including a visit to the Human-Centered Intelligent Realities Laboratory. The visitors got to try augmented reality (AR) in digital cultural heritage and virtual reality (VR) demos for healthcare education from our ongoing collaboration in HINTS with our external partner Virotea.

THE HFN – HUMAN FACTORS NETWORK IN SWEDEN VISITS THE HUMAN-CENTERED INTELLIGENT REALITIES LABORATORY

Today, HINTS hosted a visit from the Human Factors Network in Sweden (HFN) in the Human-Centered Intelligent Realities Laboratory. Demos were presented on augmented reality (AR) in digital cultural heritage and virtual reality (VR) demos for healthcare education in an ongoing collaboration in HINTS with our external partner Virotea.

VISITING PHD STUDENT FROM IIT-DELHI

The HINTS project will have a visiting Ph.D. research scholar, Gaurav Rai, from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi, during September to February 2024-2025. His research focuses on computer graphics and computer vision techniques to generate animation and dynamic deformation. He is enthusiastic about designing creative computer graphics algorithms and workflows for computer animation, scene generation, 3D reconstruction, etc. For more information please see his personal page.
