Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH, located in Karlskrona, Sweden, has a distinctive focus on the digitalisation of society and sustainability. BTH in Karlskrona is located by the sea, which creates a special atmosphere. The city of Karlskrona was founded in 1680 and is since 1998 on UNESCO’s list of indispensable world heritage sites.
Getting to Karlskrona
An accessible way is to travel to Kastrup, Copenhagen Airport, Denmark (large international airport with many connections) (https://www.cph.dk/en), then direct train (https://www.sj.se/) to Karlskrona (3 hours, runs about every hour). Another option to get to Karlskrona is to fly to Ronneby Airport (smaller airport with fewer connections) (https://www.swedavia.com/ronneby/), which is about half an hour’s drive from the center of Karlskrona (Airport shuttle goes to Karlskrona and the airport + taxis). From Stockholm (https://www.swedavia.com/arlanda/) there are direct flights (around 45 min flight) to Karlskrona (via Ronneby Airport) with connections from Visby, Gothenburg and Umeå, among others.

The main conference will be held at BTH at Campus Gräsvik, a 5-minute bus ride with Blekingetrafiken (Nr 1 bus) from the Karlskrona central station. The stops are called Karlskrona centralstation (Karlskrona central station) and Campus Gräsvik (BTH). The bus goes regularly throughout the day. There is a train that stops about a 8-minute walk from campus by the stop of Bergåsa (the stop before reaching Karlskrona central station). More information regarding the social events will follow.
