Abstract
With the rapid development of immersive technologies, Virtual Reality (VR) has been applied across various fields. Assessing the quality of user experience (QUX) in VR is crucial for developing engaging, efficient, and user-centered applications that meet the users’ needs and preferences. This lecture will present various methodologies for measuring and evaluating VR applications, emphasizing both the technical quality of experience (QoE) of the VR systems and the overall user experience (UX), from controlled subjective tests to user studies. The goal is to explore human behavior and intent, addressing challenges in immersive computing through a human-centered perspective. Finally, I will share future human-computer interaction research directions in intelligent realities.
