The annual BigData@BTH workshop has come to an end and we can conclude that a lot has happened in the third year. The main achievements include recruitments of PhD student Christian Nordahl and several positions being announced before summer including one post doc, two assistant professors and one full professor. The BigData@BTH profile has also had the great privilege to have Veselka Boeva as a guest professor during the entire year of 2017. Financially the project is on track and the scientific production which increased significantly during 2016 is well on the way to reaching the same levels by the end of 2017. The profile has also submitted several patent applications during the past year. Apart from the research work, many master thesis projects are conducted together with our partner companies. Finally, several PhD students spend significant time at the companies as part of their studies, e.g., at Ericsson in Karlskrona and Kista.
