Presenting good examples in sustainable transport

Recently, representatives of five European regions met in the southeast Swedish region Blekinge to exchange experience in sustainable transport. BTH-researcher Henrik Ny was in place as the local expert.

This took place within the project TRAM (Towards New Regional Action Plans for Sustainable Urban Mobility) which during the past week met in Karlskrona to exchange experiences and showcase successful projects in the field of sustainable transport. BTH-researcher Henrik Ny participated as Blekinge expert on sustainable transport and energy systems.

– It’s fantastic that we in Blekinge get a chance to showcase the good work for a rapid transition to sustainable transport and energy that is going on here, says Henrik Ny.

The project is led by the Italian Marches region and other participants, apart from Blekinge, include Andalucia in Spain, and the Transsylvania region in Romania and Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén in Hungary. Representatives of these five regions were therefore in Karlskrona for the first out of five regional project workshops.

The project is financed through the INTERREG Europe belonging to the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF).
